![]() We were thrilled to welcome Lisa Beir, Librarian from Southern Connecticut State University, to Sound School this week! Lisa worked closely with students from our ECE course to show them how to navigate valuable databases for their research projects. Thanks to Lisa’s expertise, our students now have the tools to dig deeper, find reliable sources, and take their research to the next level. 🔍👏 A huge thank you to Lisa for making this learning experience so valuable! #SoundSchool #ResearchSkills #SCSU #LibraryCollaboration #ECEstudents #KnowledgeIsPower As you dive into your Capstone projects, remember, the library is here to support you! Whether you need help finding reliable sources or citing your references properly, I am ready to assist.

![]() Did you know that every New Haven Public School student is eligible for a New Haven Free Public Library Card? This means that all Sound School students - no matter the sending district can get a NHFPL card. With this card, students have access to even more resources for Free! This includes not just additional books, e-books, and audiobooks, but also research databases. NHFPL even has Connecticut DMV practice tests. To apply for the library card, complete the short application (also avaliable in the LMC), and submit to Alicia Cook, Library Media Specialist. She will take care of the rest and get the card to students when they are complete. -Not sure if you already have a library card? No worries, the public library will check and reissue or renew an existing card if necessary.
